HOLLAND, Mich. – Chuck Reid, co-owner of LEED Gold certified CityFlatsHotel, is pleased to announce the opening of a second location in downtown Grand Rapids, Mich.
Still in the early planning stages, the Grand Rapids hotel will be located at 83 Monroe Center, in what was once the Fox Building. The existing building will be transformed into a boutique hotel, which will reflect the flagship Holland location's signature aesthetic in many key aspects. The new hotel will be LEED Certified and will feature 28 rooms, each with a unique color-scheme and layout. The hotel will also boast a number of high-end accommodations, including a lounge and coffee bar.
The CityFlats Grand Rapids project, which will begin renovation in late 2010, will be a much needed source of economic stimulus for West Michigan. Fourteen new hospitality jobs will be created and future revenue generated by the hotel will be invaluable to the city. CityFlatsHotel will be one more reason why Grand Rapids is quickly becoming Michigan's most popular location for fine dining, diverse entertainment, and exclusive accommodations.
CityFlatsHotel and its proprietors owe a special debt of gratitude to Brad Rosely and Dave Levitt of Third Coast Development for orchestrating this turn-key opportunity to bring the CityFlats brand to downtown Grand Rapids.
Chuck Reid will be officially announcing the CityFlats Grand Rapids project this afternoon at CityFlats' Holland location, during a Holland Chamber of Commerce sponsored event, from 4pm-6pm, to celebrate Reid's Small Business Person of the Year award, which he received two weeks ago at a ceremony in Lansing. Members of the media are welcome to attend, and Mr. Reid will be available for comment.
